DONATE CLOTHING & SUPPLIES

Note in the Pocket provides donated and purchased clothing to impoverished and homeless children and their families in Wake County.

"Our goal is to provide these children with a full wardrobe of matching, stylish, school-appropriate clothing so they have the confidence needed to succeed in the academic environment."

Please note, we are accepting donations in-person by appointment and by drop-offs to our our off-site box locations. To sign up for an appointment in-person, please visit our Signup Genius! Once signed up, follow the instructions and take the donations to our Crossroads Volunteer Center. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us by email at info@noteinthepocket.org or by phone at 919-714-9403. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time!

How Can You Help?

Donate Clothing

Your donation of unworn or gently used school-appropriate clothing goes a long way! New and gently used shoes and clothing of all sizes are accepted for donation, but the items most useful to our students are clothing items in size 5T through adult, for our adult size students.  To make the greatest impact, visit our Wish List page for our most needed items or contact us and ask to serve as a “Fairy Godmother or Godfather” to receive a text message when we have an urgent clothing need that you may be able to assist with.

WISH LIST

Host a Clothing Drive

Support our mission by hosting a fundraiser or an item specific clothing drive for us. Visit our online Signup Genius link below to see which items are most needed at this time.

HOST CLOTHING DRIVE

Don’t have any school clothes to share? Your financial donation will enable us to purchase new items in our most needed sizes. Thank you for your help!

DONATE

Please note:  While we are happy to issue receipts for tax purposes, we cannot assign a monetary value to your clothing donations. The IRS advises that it is up to the donor to estimate the fair market value of a donation. Donated shoes and clothing will be processed and evaluated for suitability to our use and will be used at our discretion to best further our mission to clothe children with dignity and love.

*Donation/tax receipts are currently available only at our Volunteer Center in Raleigh. If you drop off donations to another location (or afterhours) and need a receipt, please contact us and we can provide one.

Drop-off Locations

A list of alternate drop-off locations is provided below. We are always looking for opportunities to add new drop-off locations to our list! Due to space constraints, business locations are for family donations only. Group collections or high-volume donations must be brought to our Crossroads Fellowship Volunteer Center by appointment.
